THE POINT: Successful product designers and managers know that business strategy and product experience are inseparable. In this 4-week course, you’ll gain the skills and language to lead high-impact Discovery Phases and shape product strategies that deliver results.
You will also build familiarity with Strategic Thinking and Process Optimization concepts such as Systems Thinking, Critical Thinking, Workflow Optimization, and Root Cause Analysis. You’ll then practice applying these concepts to develop smarter solutions while integrating AI capabilities into more efficient workflows.
SHARPEN THESE SKILLS:
• Craft clear problem statements and compelling value propositions with Claude using an iterative why-analysis.
• Develop proto-personas and transform them into targeted customer interview frameworks with GPT-5.
• Conduct competitive research and analysis using commercial LLMs to uncover insights, triangulate data, and verify findings (not with unreliable autonomous agents).
• Create storyboards that structure prototype flows for concept testing using tools like Storyboard.ai, Firefly, and more.
HOW THE COURSE WORKS: We’ll meet once a week for 90-minute sessions, combining in-depth, engaging lectures with dedicated Q&A/discussion time. With each session, you’ll have an optional assignment to reinforce what you learned. Complete the assignments, and you’ll have the foundation of a strategy deck or portfolio ready to develop further. Office hours with Jaime happen on Fridays for personalized support/feedback on your project and/or to learn from the feedback to others.
THE AI PART: Jaime will teach how to responsibly integrate best-in-class AI tools into your workflow and use them to solve real-world problems with practical and ethical AI-powered solutions.
THE METHODOLOGY: UX Strategy is the essential first step before design or development begins. It informs a validated vision by testing solutions with real customers to confirm market fit, using lightweight, evidence-based tactics that speed progress.
